19th Bn Mass 2012

The annual mass for deceased members of the Bn was celebrated on Sunday 4th November in St. Mary’s Church Carrick-on-Shannon. This is an annual event and rotates yearly in the former five company areas. Members did the readings, bidding prayers and The Eucharistic Salute. They were joined at the mass by members of the Boyle O.N.E.. Afterwards everyone adjourned to the Bush Hotel for tea and sandwiches.
Members wishing to renew their membership should contact Bertie Moran or any committee member. The association is sincerely grateful to those who have already paid up. New members are always welcome.

Our main picture shows some of the members in a group who attended the Mass in the former B Coy area. How many can you name and did you do camps, shoots, tactical exercises, field days etc. with any of those people. More photos can be viewed here.

The National Commemoration Day ceremonies took place in Sligo on Sunday 8th July 2012. Members of the Association attended the event.

71 members and friends of the 19th Bn FCA Association went to the Titanic Exhibition in Belfast. They travelled by bus on the 28th June 2012. On the return journey they stopped in the Killyhevlin Hotel for a meal. This was a very enjoyable trip and the feedback from it was very positive. Photos of the visit can be viewed here.
